About Saideira

Used commonly in Brazil, "Saideira" is a Portuguese word used to highlight the joy and happiness of "one more" or a "nightcap" to a celebration with family and friends. Come enjoy your onboard Saideira! We will be sailing the Leeward Islands, BVI, Antigua, Saint-Martin during the winter months and then to the Med - France and Italy - for the summer.

And unlike most sailing cats, Saideira also has a spacious foredeck with a unique extended space for relaxing, fitness or sunbathing. Whether you're enjoying a quiet breakfast on deck or gathering for sunset cocktails, Saideira’s layout ensures space, flow, and connection.

Our Chef Sandy is like no other. She will work with you pre-charter to provision the boat with food and drink to the liking of your guests. Her culinary skills and amazing smile have delighted guests for many years! You will have plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch, mid-day snacks, and dinner. You will also have the opportunity for a "cocktail of the day"! Guests may select to have all meals on board or savor some of the local restaurants along the journey.

Adventure Awaits, Onboard and Beyond

Guests can enjoy a range of water activities, including waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, and snorkeling, with equipment like a tender with a 60hp engine, sailing dinghy, and e-foil. For off-water fitness, a stationary bike and gym kit are provided. And Saideira has plenty of yoga mats for Chef Jess' classes!

On Saideira, our commitment to your satisfaction is paramount, and we know that a fantastic holiday experience hinges on an exceptional crew. That's why we've carefully selected a team that is not only experienced but also deeply focused on your safety, and importantly, knows how to ensure you have a good time on board.

Leading our team is Ben, our seasoned and accomplished Captain. His deep knowledge in vessel management and maintenance ensures smooth and safe sailing. Sandy, our experienced chef, brings her passion for hospitality to every meal, delighting with local and international cuisine and crafting unique cocktails. Completing our dynamic trio is Leila, an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with a strong background in deck operations and hospitality. Her adventurous spirit and calm demeanor are invaluable to both the yacht's performance and your enjoyment. Working together, this cohesive unit is dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable holiday experience!

Ben

Captain

Ben's passion for all things yachts, ocean and hospitality was sparked from a young age, sailing in the Mediterranean with his family. After completing his Yachtmaster at age 19, he has dedicated his career to yachting. Since then, he has worked in many sectors of the industry; As an instructor of the Yachtmaster syllabus to professional sailors, Charter Captain in the Caribbean and Flotilla Captain in the Mediterranean. His passion for sailing also led to competing in offshore races as part of the royal ocean racing club (RORC) including the Rolex Fastnet.

Sandy

Chef

Brought up sailing on monohulls around the Ionian Islands, Sandy developed an affinity for life at sea and for sailing vessels from a young age. Her passion drove her to multiple careers in the industry, from Yacht Design to First Mate. After qualifying for Day Skipper in Greece, she has experienced commercial sailing in Europe and many islands within the Caribbean, building a well versed knowledge in sailing, along with a diverse portfolio of cheffing experience and recipes which utilize local produce and seasonality. She is standing by to customize your menu!Ben and Sandy’s common love for the ocean had them meet in 2019 whilst sailing. Now married, they work together full time, combining both their skills and experience.

Leila

First Mate

Growing up in the South East of England, Leila spent her formative years exploring the South Downs by foot, and the coast of Turkey by boat. Family holidays at sea are where she is happiest and how she fell in love with sailing. Leila has been working on yachts for the past 4 years; enjoying the long deliveries and short hop explorer trips in equal measure. Leila is a very competent sailor and has just completed her Yacht Master Offshore.In her spare time she enjoys cycling, hiking and discovering all the unique places along the way. Leila also has a photography degree with a particular interest in capturing adventure sports; she’s looking forward to capturing plenty of photos of Saideira and their beautiful surroundings this season.
